Hodgepodge Shawl CAL Part 6

Keeping up? This part starts off with a variation of my "Barbed Stitch" design. This stitch is one of my absolute favorites because it creates the most amazing texture in my opinion.

I will add the full list of basic abbreviations on every post, however you may not be using all of them in each section.

Basic Abbreviations(US Terms):

SK = Skip

sts = Stitches

ST = Stitch

SL= Slip Stitch

CH = Chain

SC = Single Crochet

HDC = Half Double Crochet

DC = Double Crochet

TC = Treble Crochet

BLO = Back Loop Only

FLO = Front Loop Only

FBL = Front Bottom Loop

FP = Front Post

BP = Back Post

Reminder: change colors at the end of the rows, whenever you feel the need.

ROW 37: CH 3(counts as a DC) & turn, DC in the next 2 sts, repeat(CH1/SK1, DC in the next 3 sts) 21 Times, CH1/SK1, DC in the next 2 sts, in the CH SP place DC/CH3/DC, DC in the next 2 sts, CH1/SK1, repeat(DC in the next 3 sts, CH1/SK1) 21 times, DC in the last 3 sts

ROW 38: CH 1(does not count as a ST) & turn, SC in the first 2 sts, FP HDC the next ST, TC in the skipped ST of ROW 36, repeat(FP HDC, SC, FP HDC, TC in the skipped ST of ROW 36) 22 times, FP HDC, SC, FP HDC, in the CH SP place HDC/CH3/HDC, repeat(FP HDC, SC, FP HDC, TC in the skipped ST of ROW 36) 22 times, FP HDC the next ST, SC in the last 2 sts

NOTE: “ TC in the skipped ST of ROW 36” is a spike stitch

ROW 39: CH 3(counts as a DC) & turn, DC in the next 2 sts, repeat(CH1/SK1, DC in the next 3 sts) 22 times, CH1/SK1, in the CH SP place 2DC/CH3/2DC, CH1/SK1, repeat(DC in the next 3 sts, CH1/SK1) 22 times, DC in the last 3 sts

ROW 40: CH 1(does not count as a ST) & turn, HDC in the first 3 sts, repeat(place 2 SC in the next CH SP, SK 1, place 2 FBL HDC in the next ST, SK 1)22 times, place 2 SC in the next CH SP, HDC in the next 2 sts, in the next CH SP place HDC/CH3/HDC, HDC in the next 2 sts, repeat(place 2 SC in the next CH SP, SK 1, place 2 FBL HDC in the next ST, SK 1) 22 times, place 2 SC in the next CH SP, HDC in the last 3 sts
