Thanks to AI & new app creators I have no choice but to discontinue my monthly FREE Feature Pattern & any Free to view pattern blog posts.

This decision has not been easy! After attempting to stop these new apps from stealing from me and having no luck this is the only choice I have left. Scammers are now creating apps(like Loopsy) that are scraping (basically using AI to copy content) websites to then share copyrighted designs and illegally distribute the patterns. In the past 3 months alone my site has been bombarded by these apps, my sales & ad revenue have plummeted, & I can no longer afford to keep this up. I have tried everything I can think of to continue this dream and it just isn’t even an option anymore.

I will be keeping my patterns available for purchase on Ravelry & Lovecrafts for the time being. Please do not upload any of my patterns to any apps because that gives AI free range to do as they wish with my designs. Most importantly please stop using Loopsy and similar apps if you want designers to keep creating.

Between the fake AI patterns all over the internet causing buyers to be very scared to purchase anything, the AI bots copying patterns and allowing people to share them illegally, Facebook not letting us advertise with links anymore, & the scammers stealing designers images and setting up fake Etsy/Shopify shops to scam people out of money, creators are giving up.

 

I am very sorry to have to do this but I really have no other choice.
