Here's what you'll need to get started....


Materials:

Mainstays 100% Cotton(53 yds)

F(Boye 3.75 mm) Hook

Scissors

Needle


Abbreviations(US Terms):

SK = Skip

sts = Stitches

ST = Stitch

SL= Slip Stitch

CH = Chain

SC = Single Crochet

DC = Double Crochet

gap = the CH 2 space between the DC sts



NOTES: You can adapt the Naomi Stitch pattern by chaining any multiple of 6 and adding 5 additional chains at the end, then just continue the repeat to your desired length. Finished washcloth with this pattern & yardage should measure approximately 7.5” wide by 7” long.

To begin CH 35,

ROW 1(right side): DC in the 3rd CH from your hook and in the next CH, CH 2 & DC in the next CH, SK 2, repeat (DC in the next 3 CHs, CH 2, DC in the next CH, SK 2) 4 times, DC in the next 3 chs, CH 2, DC in the last CH

ROW 2: CH 2(counts as a DC, NOT a gap) & turn, place 2 DC/CH 2/DC in the first gap, repeat (place 3 DC/CH 2/DC in the next gap) 4 times, in the last gap place 3 DC/CH 2, DC in the last DC(not in the CH 2 to start the row)

ROWS 3-12: Repeat ROW 2 ten times

TRIM: CH 1 & turn(right side), repeat (place 2 SC in the gap, SC in the next 3 sts, SK the next ST) 5 times, place 2 SC in the last gap, SC in the next 2 sts, SK the CH 2(29 sts),


Rotate to work along the end of the rows, place 2 SC in the end of each row(24 sts),


ROTATE to work along the bottom of the starting CH, place 2 SC in the first gap, (SC in the next 3 CHs, 2 SC in the to SK chains gap, SK 1 CH) 5 times, SC in the next 2 CHs (29 sts),

Rotate to work along the end of the rows, place 2 SC in the end of each row(24 sts), SL to your beginning SC to connect. Cut, tie off, & weave in all of your tails.
