Mushroom Cap
To begin create a MR with your cap color.
ROUND 1: place 6 SC in the MR, SL to your first SC to connect(6)
ROUND 2: CH 1(does not count as a ST), repeat(SC x 2, INC) twice, SL to your first SC to connect(8)
ROUND 3: CH 1(does not count as a ST), repeat (SC x 3, INC) twice, SL to your first SC to connect(10)
ROUND 4: CH 1(does not count as a ST), repeat (SC, INC) 5 times, SL to your first SC to connect(15)
Stop here and thread your needle with your starting tail. Feed it through the MR to the outside and use it to attach the key chain. Feed the tail back through to the inside, tie off securely and weave in your tail a bit.
ROUND 5: CH 1(does not count as a ST), repeat (SC x 4, INC) 3 times, SL to your first SC to connect(18)
ROUND 6: CH 1(does not count as a ST), SC in each ST around, SL to your first SC to connect(18)
ROUND 7: CH 1(does not count as a ST), work this entire round in the BLO, repeat (SC, DEC) 6 times, SL to your first SC to connect(12)
Change to your stem color and add stuffing to the cap(do NOT over Stuff).
ROUND 8: CH 1(does not count as a ST), SC BLO around, SL to your first SC to connect(12)
ROUND 9: CH 1(does not count as a ST), repeat (SC x 2, DEC) 3 times, SL to your first SC to connect(9)
ROUNDS 10-12: CH 1(does not count as a ST), SC in each ST around, SL to your first SC to connect(9)
Add stuffing to your stem. Do not stuff too much. You want to be able to squish your mushroom to make it look like a mushroom, instead of a blob on a blob.
ROUND 13: CH 1(does not count as a ST), repeat (SC, DEC) 3 times, SL to your first SC to connect(6)
Cut leaving a tail for seaming & tie off. Flatten the opening and sew it shut across through both the front and back 3 sts. Tie off and weave in your end. Sit it on it's stem and squish the cap down to get the right shape.
