Here's what you'll need to get started....
Materials:
Caron One Pound in Taupe(approx 95 yds)
H(5 mm) Hook
Scissors
Needle
Jute Twine(approx. 32” long)
Wooden Beads
6” or longer Cinnamon Stick
Abbreviations(US Terms):
SK = Skip
sts = Stitches
ST = Stitch
SL= Slip Stitch
CH = Chain
SC = Single Crochet
HDC= Half Double Crochet
DC = Double Crochet
BLO = Back Loop Only
FLO = Front Loop Only
NOTES: Feel free to add whatever decorative accents you wish. All even numbered rows begin the alternating with a BLO HDC, and all odd numbered rows will begin the alternating with a FLO. Also the beginning and end of each row will mirror each other so if the row begins with (HDC, HDC BLO) it will end with (HDC BLO, HDC). Also, I hide all my tails, except the final one from sewing them together, in between the panels to keep from having to weave them all in. Tighter tension is Highly recommended!

Panels(make 2):
To Begin CH 10(or do a HDC foundation row of 9 as ROW 1)
ROW 1:(RIGHT SIDE) HDC in the 2nd CH from the hook and in each ST across (9 total)
ROW 2:(WRONG SIDE) CH 1(does not count as a ST & turn), HDC in the first ST, repeat (HDC BLO in the next ST, HDC FLO in the next ST) 3 times, HDC BLO in the next to the last ST and an HDC in the last ST(9)
ROW 3: CH 1(does not count as a ST & turn), HDC in the first ST, repeat (HDC FLO in the next ST, HDC BLO in the next ST) 3 times, HDC FLO in the next to the last ST and an HDC in the last ST(9)
ROW 4: REPEAT ROW 2
ROW 5: REPEAT ROW 3
ROW 6: REPEAT ROW 2
ROW 7: REPEAT ROW 3
ROW 8: CH 1(does not count as a ST & turn), HDC in each ST across (9)
Cut & tie OFF your first panel. *If you are adding a sewn on decoration to your panels add it now to the first panel. For your second panel do not cut & continue on.
CH 1(does not count as a ST) & turn.
Lay your second panel on top of your first panel(wrong sides together). Working through both panels to seam them together, SC in each ST across,
CH 1 & rotate to work along the side, evenly space 10 SC down the side,
CH 1 & rotate to work across your starting CH, SC in each ST across,
CH 1 & rotate to work along the side, evenly space 10 SC up the side, CH 1, SL to your beginning SC to connect. Cut, tie off, & weave in your end.

Make 2 more for a total of 3 completed panels. Finished Panel should measure approximately 3” wide by 4” tall.
Now you will use your Jute twine to attach the pieces together.
Bottom Panel: Turn your panels sideways. Fold your Jute twine in half. Insert your hook into the first CH ST along the side(from the front), grab one end of your Jute & pull it through. Insert your hook into the last CH ST along the same side(from the front), grab the other end of your jute & pull it through. Even up the ends of the jute so that the middle is in the center(back) of your rectangle.
OPTIONAL: Add beads to your Jute to separate the panels.

Now attach your next panel through the first and last CH sts along bottom of the panel feeding your jute (front to back) through. Run the jute up the back and repeat for the top except feed your jute through to the front.

Repeat the middle panel directions for the top panel. To finish just wrap your jute ends around your cinnamon stick and tie them off. Adjust your panels so they hang evenly and add any little embellishments you want to your panels and enjoy!
