Quarter Keeper Charm Crochet Pattern

This cute little spring charm is also functional! This great stash buster is perfect for a little something extra for a gift or craft show stock that works up super quick. Add a ball bead keychain and a smaller pom-pom and create the perfect keychain.

Here's what you'll need to get started.......
Materials:
Red Heart Super Saver yarn(approx. 12 yds total)
G(Boye 4.25 mm) Hook
Scissors
Needle
Optional: Ball Bead Keychain, Pom-Pom
Abbreviations(US Terms):
SK = Skip
sts = Stitches
MR = Magic Ring
ST = Stitch
SL= Slip Stitch
CH = Chain
SC = Single Crochet
DC = Double Crochet
NOTES: Finished charm should be large enough to securely hold 2 USD quarters. Feel free to go up a hook size if needed to adjust the size.
To begin create a MR.
ROUND 1: place 10 SC in your MR, SL to your 1st SC to connect
ROUND 2: CH 1(does not count as a ST), place 2 SC in each ST around(20), SL to your 1st SC to connect
Cut, tie off & weave in your ends. Create a second circle exactly the same but do not cut(unless you would like to change colors here). Weave in your starting tail on your 2nd circle.

Place your 2nd circle on top of your first, wrong sides together, and continue on working through both to seam them together.
ROUND 3: CH 1(does not count as a ST), SK the 1st ST, repeat(place 4 DC in the next ST, SL in the next ST, SK 1) 4 times, place 4 DC in the next ST, SL in the next. NOW JUST IN YOUR 2ND CIRCLE SC in the next 2 sts, CH 3, SK 1, SC in the next 2 sts, SL to your beginning SC to connect. CH 1 & TURN, NOW JUST IN YOUR 1ST CIRCLE SC in the next 2 sts, CH 10, SK 1, SL in the last 2 sts, SL to your last SL, cut, tie off & weave in your end.
