This light flowy shoulder wrap can also be used as a super soft scarf. This pattern is a slight variation of my Splendid Stitch design. I love the look of fringe but absolutely hate everything else about it. I decided to try something different with this pattern to get the look without the fuss.
This pattern is created working multiples of 3 plus an additional 6 Chains at the end. Finished wrap with this pattern should measure approximately 74” long and 10” wide, but will stretch larger due to the stitch design. If you are adapting this pattern to other sizes always end on a repeat of ROW 4 before completing the final ROW and adding your trim.

Here's what you'll need to get started.......

DC= Double Crochet
V= DC/ CH 1/ DC
DC DEC= Double Crochet Decrease:
To create the Double Crochet Decrease, work the first double crochet, in the CH SP, until only 2 loops are left on your hook, Yarn over, insert your hook in next CH SP, yarn over, pull through, yarn over, pull through 2 loops (3 loops on hook). Yarn over, pull through all 3 loops to complete.
To begin CH 57
ROW 1: DC in the 4th CH from the hook and in each CH across (55 total counting your SK chains as a DC)
ROW 2: CH 3(counts as a DC) & turn, DC in the next ST, SK 1, V in the next ST, *SK 2, V in the next, Repeat from * until you have 3 stitches remaining, SK 1, DC in the last 2 sts (total of 17 V stitches)
ROW 3: CH 3(counts as a DC) & turn, DC in the next ST, CH 1, DC in the CH 1 space of your V, * CH 2, DC in the next CH 1 SP, Repeat from * to your last V, CH 1, DC in the last 2 sts
ROW 4: CH 3(counts as a DC) & turn, DC in the next ST, CH 1, place the first part of your DC DEC into the CH 1 SP of the previous row and the second part in the CH 2 SP after the DC of the previous row, * CH 2, place the first part of your DC DEC into the same CH 2 SP and the second part in the CH 2 SP after the DC of the previous row, REPEAT from * to the CH 1 SP before the last 2 DC in the previous row, CH 1, DC in the last 2 sts (total of 17 DC DEC)
Row 5: CH 3(counts as a DC) & turn, DC in the next ST, Place a V stitch into the top of each DC DEC of the previous row, DC in the last 2 sts (total of 17 V sts)
From this point on you will just be repeating rows (3, 4, 5) until you have a total of 73 rows before continuing on to the final row.
EX:
ROW 6 = ROW 3 REPEAT
ROW 7 = ROW 4 REPEAT
ROW 8 = ROW 5 REPEAT
FINAL ROW(note the row prior to this should be a repeat of ROW 4): CH 3(counts as first DC) & turn, DC in each ST and CH across(55 total)

Turn your work over. REPEAT *Pull up your loop to 10”, twist 20 times, SL back into the same SC, SK 1, SC in the next ST, across 27 times.
Cut, tie off, and weave in your end. Turn your work over and attach your yarn to your starting CH. Repeat the twists for the other end.
