Star Coaster Crochet Pattern

As I try to change things up with my business, I have decided to start adding the monthly FREE Feature Pattern Here to my blog so that the patterns will remain FREE to view after the month has ended.

This super cute star coaster pattern is perfect for summer celebrations. Finished coaster should measure approximately 5” across from point to point.

Here's what you'll need to get started....

Materials:

Lily Sugar'n Cream Cotton in Nautical Ombre(approx. 16 yds)

H(5 mm) Hook

Scissors

Needle

Abbreviations(US Terms):

SK = Skip

sts = Stitches

ST = Stitch

SL= Slip Stitch

CH = Chain

SC = Single Crochet

HDC = Half Double Crochet

DC = Double Crochet

TC = Treble Crochet

Picot = CH 2 & SL in the top of your last ST

To begin create a MR

ROUND 1: CH1(does not count as a ST), place 10 HDC in the MR, SL to your beginning HDC to connect

ROUND 2: CH1(does not count as a ST), place 2HDC in each ST, SL to your beginning HDC to connect(20)

ROUND 3: CH1(does not count as a ST), repeat(2 HDC, HDC) 10 times, SL to your beginning HDC to connect(30)

ROUND 4: CH1(does not count as a ST), repeat(2 HDC, HDC in the next 2 sts) 10 times, SL to your beginning HDC to connect(40)

ROUND 5: SK the 1^st ST, (SC & HDC in the next ST, DC/TR/Picot in the next ST, TR & DC in the next ST, HDC & SC in the next ST) SL in the next 2 sts, repeat from to , SL in the next ST 4 sts, [repeat from to , SL in the next ST 5 sts] twice, repeat from to , SL in the last 3 sts, cut, tie off & weave in your ends
