Nestle Washcloth Crochet Pattern

Introducing the Nestle Washcloth, the perfect textured washcloth to add a touch of elegance to your bathroom or kitchen. Finished washcloth with this pattern & yardage should measure approx. 7.5” by 7.25”, but the multiples needed to adapt this stitch pattern are also included so you can create any size you wish.

Here's what you'll need to get started....

Materials:

I Love This Cotton Yarn(approx. 55 yds)

H(5 mm) Hook

Scissors

Needle

Abbreviations(US Terms):

SK = Skip

sts = Stitches

ST = Stitch

SL= Slip Stitch

CH = Chain

SC = Single Crochet

HDC = Half Double Crochet

DC = Double Crochet

3DC CL = 3 Double Crochet Cluster: (YO, insert in the CH space, YO, pull up a loop, YO, Pull through 2) 3 times, YO, Pull through all 4 loops

Picot = CH 3, SL back into the top of the SC

Notes: This stitch pattern can be adapted to any size by chaining any multiple of 3. Finished cloth with this pattern & yardage should measure approx. 7.5” x 7.25”.

To Begin chain 30

ROW 1: SC in the 2nd CH from your hook & in each ST across(29 total)

ROW 2: CH 2(counts as your first DC) & turn, SK the next ST, repeat(in the next ST place (DC, CH 1, DC), SK 2) 8 times, in the next ST place (DC, CH 1, DC), SK the next to the last ST, DC in the last ST

ROW 3: CH 3(counts as a DC + CH1) & turn, repeat(3DC CL in the CH 1 SP, CH 2) 8 times, place a 3DC CL in the CH 1 SP, CH 1, DC in the last ST

ROW 4: CH 2(counts as your first DC) & turn, place (DC, CH 1, DC) in the top of each 3DC CL(9 total), DC in the 2nd CH of the CH 3

ROW 5: REPEAT ROW 3: CH 3(counts as a DC + CH1) & turn, repeat(3DC CL in the CH 1 SP, CH 2) 8 times, place a 3DC CL in the CH 1 SP, CH 1, DC in the last ST

ROW 6: REPEAT ROW 4: CH 2(counts as your first DC) & turn, place (DC, CH 1, DC) in the top of each 3DC CL(9 total), DC in the 2nd CH of the CH 3

ROW 7: CH1(does not count as a st) & turn, SC in each ST & CH SP across (29 total)

ROWS 8 & 9: CH1(does not count as a st) & turn, SC in each ST across(29 total)

ROWS 10-15: Repeat (Rows 2-7)

TRIM:

ROTATE to work along the side, place 2 SC in the each of the next 5 rows(10), SC in the end of rows 7-9(3), place 2 SC in the each of the next 5 rows(10),

ROTATE to work along the bottom of your starting CH, place 3 SC in the first CH, SC in the next 27 chains, place 3 SC in the last CH,

ROTATE to work along the side, place 2 SC in the each of the next 5 rows(10), SC in the end of rows 7-9(3), place 2 SC in the each of the next 5 rows(10),

ROTATE to work along ROW 15, place 3 SC in the 1st ST, SC in the next 27 sts, place 3 SC in the last ST, SL to your beginning Trim SC to connect. Cut, tie off, & weave in your ends.
