Here's what you'll need to get started....


Materials:

Premier Home Cotton(approx. 65 yds)

G(Boye 4.25 mm) Hook

Scissors

Needle


Abbreviations(US Terms):

SK = Skip

sts = Stitches

ST = Stitch

SL= Slip Stitch

CH = Chain

SC = Single Crochet

HDC = Half Double Crochet

DC = Double Crochet

gap = the space between the KZ sts

KZ = Keziah Stitch: this is basically a HDC, an incomplete DC, & a TC all in one stitch:

  working all in one ST- HDC, YO(yarn over) & insert your hook/YO & pull up a loop/YO & pull through 2/ YO twice & insert your hook/YO & pull up a loop, YO & pull through 2 twice/YO & pull through the final 3 loops on your hook


NOTES: You can adapt this stitch pattern to other sizes by chaining any multiple of 3 plus 1 to begin. A tighter tension is recommended for this stitch pattern.


To begin CH 31


ROW 1: SC in the 2nd CH from your hook and in each CH across(30)


ROW 2: CH 1(does not count as a ST) & turn, HDC in the 1st ST, repeat (KZ, SK 2) 9 times, KZ, HDC in the last ST


ROW 3: CH 1(does not count as a ST) & turn, HDC in the first ST, SK the KZ ST, repeat KZ in each gap between the KZ sts of the previous row (9), HDC in the last ST


ROW 4: CH 1(does not count as a ST) & turn, HDC in the first ST, repeat KZ in each gap(10), HDC in the last ST


ROWS 5-8: REPEAT (ROW 3, ROW 4) TWICE

ROW 9-16: REPEAT

(ROW 3, ROW 4) 4 TIMES


ROW 17: CH 1(does not count as a ST) & turn, SC in the first 2 sts, repeat(place 2 SC in the gap, SC in the KZ) 9 times, HDC in the last ST(30), cut, tie off & weave in your ends.
