Gio Mug Rug FREE Pattern

Updated: Apr 25

I created these little nuggets this fall while trying to come up with some quick, inexpensive, makes for my big craft shows. I was pleasantly surprised with how well they sold! I've decided to share the pattern with you to help out with those last-minute stock building frenzies we all experience as vendors, at least I hope I'm not the only one who goes mad mass producing as much as possible at the last minute!

Here's what you'll need to get started:

You can use any WW/#4/Aran scrap yarn you want but my personal favorite is the Yarn Bee Soft & Sleek

Materials:

Yarn Bee Soft & Sleek yarn (approx. 35 yds total)

J(Boye 5.75 mm) Hook

Scissors

Needle

Abbreviations(US Terms):

SK = Skip

sts = Stitches

ST = Stitch

SL = Slip Stitch

CH = Chain

SC = Single Crochet

DC = Double Crochet

FPSC = Front Post Single Crochet

CH 3 gap = The loop created during the “CH3, place 1 FPSC around the 2 DC sts”

NOTES:

- You can adapt this pattern to any size by chaining any multiple of 3.

- I've created a video to explain the “place 1 FPSC around the 2 DC sts” step of the pattern for help. The link is located in the PDF.

- Finished measurement should be approx. 8” long by 4.5” wide
