Last year I jumped on board the organization team for Operation Christmas Child shoeboxes in my church and am now spending every moment I can gathering up goodies, making items, and encouraging others to do the same. So, to encourage and help all of you, I will be adding all my cute little patterns here on my blog over the months for you all to use too.

Easy Hair Bow Crochet Pattern from Regina P Designs

Here's what you'll need to get started.......

Materials:

Red Heart Gumdrop Yarn(approx. 20 yds)

H(5 mm) Hook

Scissors

Needle

1.8”(4.6cm) Alligator Hair Clips

Abbreviations(US Terms):

SK = Skip

sts = Stitches

ST = Stitch

SL= Slip Stitch

CH = Chain

SC = Single Crochet

NOTES: Finished bow should measure approximately 3” wide. Feel free to change up the yarn with Caron Simply Soft or another comparable alternative.

To begin, leaving a 10”-12” starting tail, CH 24,

ROW 1: SC in the 2nd CH from your hook & in each CH across(23)

ROWS 2-5: CH 1(does not count as a ST) & turn, SC in each ST across(23)

Cut leaving a 24” tail & tie off. Fold your piece in half, ends to ends, right sides together. Use your starting tail to sew the 2 ends together.

Turn your piece right side out so and flatten so that your seam runs up the back center.

Use your ending tail to tightly wrap the center 8 times.

Now lay your clip on your bow and wrap through the clip and the around the bow 5 more times. Tie off securely & weave in your tail.
