Basic Abbreviations(US Terms):

SK = Skip

sts = Stitches

ST = Stitch

CH = Chain

SC = Single Crochet

HDC = Half Double Crochet

DC = Double Crochet

Each section will also include additional abbreviations.

SECTION 2: DIAMOND BACK STITCH

More Abbreviations:

TC = Treble Crochet

ROW 15: CH 1(does not count as a ST) & turn, follow the repeat pattern placing 1 ST in each ST *(SC, HDC, DC, TC, DC, HDC) 27 times, SC in the last ST (163)

ROW 16: CH 3(counts as a TC) & turn, follow the repeat pattern placing 1 ST in each ST(starting with the next ST) *(DC, HDC, SC, HDC, DC, TC) 27 times (163)

ROW 17: REPEAT ROW 15

ROW 18: REPEAT ROW 16

ROW 19: REPEAT ROW 15

ROW 20: CH 1(does not count as a ST) & turn, SC in each ST across(163)

SECTION 3: SPLENDID STITCH

More Abbreviations:

Special ST = YO, insert in the CH space, YO, pull up a loop, YO, Pull through 1, YO, insert in the CH space, YO, pull up a loop, YO, Pull through 1, YO, Pull through all 5 loops

Change to CD

ROW 21: CH 1(does not count as a ST) & turn, SC in the first ST, repeat(CH 1/SK1, SC in the next ST) 81 times (163)

ROW 22: CH 3(counts as first DC) and turn, repeat(Special ST in the CH SP, CH 1) 80 times, Special ST in the CH SP, DC in the last ST

ROW 23: CH 1(does not count as a ST) & turn, HDC in the first ST, CH 1, repeat(SK the Special Stitch, HDC in the CH SP, CH 1) 80 times, SK the Special Stitch, HDC in the top of the beginning CH 3(163)

ROW 24: Repeat ROW 22: CH 3(counts as first DC) and turn, repeat(Special ST in the CH SP, CH 1) 80 times, Special ST in the CH SP, DC in the last ST

ROW 25: Repeat ROW 23: CH 1(does not count as a ST) & turn, HDC in the first ST, CH 1, repeat(SK the Special Stitch, HDC in the CH SP, CH 1) 80 times, SK the Special Stitch, HDC in the top of the beginning CH 3(163)

ROW 26: Repeat ROW 22

ROW 27: Repeat ROW 23

ROW 28: CH 1(does not count as a ST) & turn, HDC in the first ST, HDC in the CH SP, repeat(SK over the HDC ST, place 2 HDC in the next CH SP) 80 times, SK 1, HDC in the last ST(163 total)

NOTE: ROW 28 begins with only 1 HDC in the first CH SP and ends with skip the last CH SP on purpose.
